Richard Ashcroft has unveiled a reworked version of This Thing Called Life.
The new unplugged take will appear on the former Verve frontman's forthcoming album, 'Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1', due out on October 29 via RPA/BMG.
Originally recorded in 2010 for Ashcroft's RPA & The United Nations Of Sound side project, the song has been revamped for the upcoming LP, which celebrates the singer-songwriter's solo work and material from The Verve.
It comes paired with a video that sees the 50-year-old performing the track, while watching his life on the screen at Richmond Theatre. In August, he shared a new version of Bittersweet Symphony.
Ashcroft will accompany the release with four previously announced shows, each billed as, "an acoustic evening of his classic songs." Tickets are on sale now.
