Following a series of teasers, Muse's new single has arrived.
Won't Stand Down is the first new music to come from the British rock band since 2018's 'Simulation Theory'. The track taps into the bands heavy metal and industrial influences to bolster their trademark stadium-sized, theatrical rock and lyrically finds frontman Matt Bellamy taking aim at abusers.
Head below to watch its Jared Hogan-directed accompanying video, which finds Bellamy donning some creepy special FX make-up. He said:
‘Won’t Stand Down’ is a song about standing your ground against bullies, whether that be on the playground, at work or anywhere. Protecting yourself from coercion and sociopathic manipulation and to face adversity with strength, confidence and aggression.”
In 2020, the band released The Simulation Theory film, which features footage from their 2019 London show at The O2, which formed part of the UK and European leg of the Simulation Theory Tour.
