Tegan and Sara have shared details of a reimagined version of 2004's 'So Jealous'.
'Still Jealous' will arrive on February 11 and finds either Tegan singing acoustic reworkings of songs that Sara wrote for the album, or vice versa.
The idea first came about in 2020, prior to a fundraiser for the Tegan and Sara Foundation, when Sara recorded an acoustic take of Tegan's You Wouldn't Like Me. Sara commented:
"When I was done, it was clear to us both that the project was more than background music for the fundraiser.
"Over the next few months, we let our interpretations of each other’s original songs become more experimental and fluid. It was comforting to live inside of familiar music during such a destabilizing time. Performing each other’s songs became a salve during the longest period that either of us has gone without an audience to sing for."
Alongside the news, the pair have dropped a preview onto digital streaming services in the form of Sara's spin on Where Does The Good Go. It was first posted to YouTube in the summer. Check it out below.
In 2019, the sibling duo released 'Hey, I'm Just Like You', a collection of re-recorded songs they wrote when they were younger, though their last original studio album was 2016's 'Love You To Death'.
