Fontaines D.C. Share Video For New Single I Love You

Fontaines D.C. have released a new single.
I Love You is the second cut to be lifted from their new album, 'Skinty Fia', due out on April 22. It follows the first single, Jackie Down The Line, which arrived in January.
Frontman Grian Chatten describes the track as, “the first overtly political song we've written." He added:
“It's standing in the centre of our beloved home country as a multitude of things are brought to tragic ends in an apocalyptic state of affairs. That's how it feels to me, and what I felt when I wrote it.”
The five-piece start things off with a bass-led sombre tone, later layering post-rock guitar lines and increasing the intensity with Chatten's impassioned spoken word delivery. Watch the Sam Taylor-directed video below.
The Irish band have a busy year of gigging ahead, with a European tour and a North American trek lined up for the spring.
They also have two rearranged Live At The Iveagh Gardens Dublin concerts in the diary for the summer, along with appearances at Lytham Festival supporting The Strokes, Glasgow's TRNSMT, and a huge show with Sam Fender at London's Finsbury Park.
