John Cale Plots First UK Tour In A Decade For July

John Cale has announced a summer UK tour.
For his first extended run of UK shows in a decade, the Welsh musician, composer and producer has lined up stops in Liverpool, Whitley Bay, York, Bexhill-On-Sea, Cambridge, Birmingham and London, where he'll headline the Palladium, between July 15 and 25.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on March 2. The Velvet Underground co-founder will play tracks from throughout his career, including cuts from his 16 studio albums.
Aside from his own musical endeavours, Cale has racked up some producer and collaborator credits for some highly regarded acts, including Brian Eno, Patti Smith, The Stooges, Squeeze, Happy Mondays, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Super Furry Animals and Manic Street Preachers.
