Rae Morris has shared details of her third studio album.
The follow-up to 2018's 'Someone Out There' is called 'Rachel@Fairyland' and will arrive on July 8. It was written and recorded by the Blackpool-based artist after splitting with her longtime label, and before striking a deal with RCA Records.
Morris worked on the record at her home in North London, alongside her partner Fryars, and with close friend Sean O’Hagan of The High Llamas and Stereolab. Shawn Everett handled mixing in his Los Angeles studio.
The news comes with the dreamy, introspective single Running Shoes, a soupy, cinematic track that's almost Disney-esque, with flourishes of harp strings, twinkling synths, and even birdsong offering a sense of magic and escapism.
It follows No Woman Is An Island, Morris' first single since 2018, released back in February. Press play below, alongside the record's cover art and tracklist.
Morris is scheduled to headline At Home Farm Live in Hatfield in July.
'Rachel@Fairyland' tracklist:
1. No Woman Is An Island
2. Better Man
3. Low Brow
4. Spitting From The Top
5. Morning Isn’t Morning
6. Go Dancing (ft. Fryars)
7. Skyscraper Love
8. Running Shoes
9. A Table For Two
10. The Carrot
