Poliça have shared details of their sixth studio album.
'Madness' will arrive on June 3 via Memphis Industries, and feature the previously unveiled track Rotting, along with the first single Alive, a menacing, atmospheric offering that builds through pulsing synths over light percussion.
Co-produced by Berlin-based techno producer Dustin Zahn, with Alex Ridha and Alex Nutter, the long-awaited follow-up to 2020's 'When We Stay Alive' features seven tracks across a running time of 31 minutes.
It was mostly recorded over the last two years at the studio of the band's producer Ryan Olson in their hometown of Minneapolis, with lyrics written by vocalist Channy Leaneagh. Commenting on the new song, she said:
"Bad things happen, the fire goes out; even with the best flammables it stays dark until nothing matters becomes the fire itself."
The group will support the record with a summer North American tour, kicking off in late August in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Head here for details.
