Sun's Signature—the new project from Cocteau Twins' Elizabeth Fraser and her partner Damon Reece—have announced their self-titled EP.

Due to arrive through Partisan on June 18 for Record Store Day, with a digital release following sometime in July, it's previewed by the debut single and Fraser's first proper new music in 13 years, Golden Air.

Cast across a dreamy aesthetic, coupled with her soft soprano over a sprawling electronic soundscape, the song also features Genesis' Steve Hackett playing guitar.

The five-track project came about after Fraser and musician Reece were invited to perform at London's Meltdown Festival in 2012. She also joined Reece, the touring drummer for Massive Attack who has also played in Spiritualized and Echo And The Bunnymen, for some shows on Massive Attack's 'Mezzanine' anniversary tour, having originally featured on the record's track Teardrop.

The EP will be completed by Underwater, a rare 2000 single, and Make Lovely The Day, which she also performed at Meltdown in 2012. Other cuts include Bluedusk and Apples.

In 2020, Fraser collaborated with Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi on his track Cannibal.

'Sun's Signature' EP tracklist:

1. Underwater
2. Golden Air
3. Bluedusk
4. Apples
5. Make Lovely the Day
