Elton John Announces 50th Anniversary Reissue Of 'Madman Across The Water'

Elton John has announced a reissue of his 1971 album 'Madman Across The Water'.
To celebrate the record’s 50th anniversary, a deluxe, expanded edition will be released on June 10 via UMC/EMI. It'll arrive in a variety of formats, including a three-CD, one-Blu-ray super deluxe box set, a four-LP box set, a two-CD set, and the original LP on limited blue and white coloured vinyl.
The four-LP box set will feature a 2016 remaster of the album, along with 18 unreleased songs, mostly comprising demos of the record's tracks such as Tiny Dancer and Levon. There will also be different versions of the album's title track, as well as rarities, BBC recordings from the era, memorabilia, artwork, and a 40-page book detailing the making of the album, complete with notes from John and Bernie Taupin.
In March, John announced what he says will be the final North American shows of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road: The Final Tour. He recently resumed the extensive trek following postponements caused by COVID-19, as well as personal injuries.
He is currently in the middle of a series of US arena shows, with his long goodbye set to span Europe, the UK, and New Zealand up until summer 2023.
