Soak has released a new song.
Swear Jar serves as the last pre-release single off 'If I Never Know You Like This Again', due out through Rough Trade Records this Friday (May 20).
Lyrically exploring depression and the end of a relationship, the vulnerable track unfurls around gently strummed acoustic guitar and soft, rising strings. Bridie Monds-Watson, aka Soak, explained the inspiration behind it:
"I felt so disconnected from myself and life that I was starting to question if I'd ever truly been present or if I'd always been on autopilot."
It'll be joined on the LP by the previously unveiled cuts Last July and Purgatory. Soak has also dropped a solo acoustic performance of Swear Jar, streaming below.
She'll support the record with a UK and Ireland tour beginning later in May.
