LeAnn Rimes has released a new song, The Only.
The ode to breaking out of difficult times benefits from a reggae twist courtesy of the collaborating artists Ziggy Marley, Ledisi and Ben Harper.
Along with the previously shared single How Much A Heart Can Hold, it'll feature on the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter's upcoming 19th studio album, 'God's Work', due out on September 16.
Written and produced by Rimes, alongside longtime collaborator Darrell Brown, the 12-song record also boasts contributions from Mickey Guyton, Aloe Blacc, Sheila E., and Robert Randolph. Rimes commented:
"It is an honor to have such a unique and diverse group of artists joining me on this song. Artists of like mind and heart that are also spreading a message of love in the world. The Only really is all about community and connection, so I felt inspired to create the track in community with those I deeply admire and respect."
She added: "For me, 'God's Work' was all about a journey of reclamation, where humanity meets spirit. The idea was to really dig into the duality of life, and I needed to be at the place I am in my life now in order to release this record whole-heartedly. It’s so empowering that I am finally there."
Rimes recently kicked off a US tour which continues in Fort Worth, Texas today (May 20). Head below for dates and ticket details.
