The song will feature on the vocalist's upcoming debut album, 'The Hardest Part', originally slated for release in July, but now due out on September 16. It follows the previously unveiled cuts I Burned L.A. Down and Mr. Percocet. Cyrus commented:
"I call this song "July's sister song" due to their similarity in lyrics, but in actuality, they're really more like cousins. They’re about different people, entirely different storylines, and each brings up different memories and emotions. In a way, I see a lot of growth in myself from who I was then and who I am now, but at the same time it’s still impossible for me to walk away from people I love, even when it’s harmful to myself."
Compared to her previous singles, it offers a gentler country-tinged sound, with strummed acoustic guitars and introspective lyrics. Press play below.
The 22-year-old will play UK and European shows in August, including stops in Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin and London, where she'll headline the O2 Forum Kentish Town. Tickets are on sale.
