The Texan rapper will headline the O2 Arena on August 6, but despite news of the show there’s still no update on the release date for new new album, ’Utopia’.
Scott’s last solo record was 2018’s ’Astroworld’, which shares its name with his own festival that in 2021 took place in his hometown of Houston. A surge in the crowd on the first day of the event resulted in 10 people dying and hundreds being injured, with the second day then being cancelled.
Lawsuits have been filed against Scott, who attendees allege ignored chants from the crowd to stop the show, and continued despite the calls and the presence of an ambulance, among other signs. He denies he was aware of what was happening while he was performing.
NEW // BIG news! 🚨
Multi-platinum-selling hip hop icon Travis Scott (@trvisXX) will support his upcoming album, ’Utopia’, with a HUGE show at @TheO2 in August 🌵
