Dub War have released a fifth track from their upcoming album.
Art Of War will appear on 'Westgate Under Fire', the band's first LP of new material in over 25 years, due out on August 5 via Earache Records.
Featuring guest musician Spike T Smith on drums, the fast-paced, punk-rock and ragga-metal fusion includes lyrics referencing a local Newport musician, whose artwork appears on the record's sleeve. Vocalist Benji Webbe explained:
"Mikee “KRUPA” Gregory was reading the book The Art Of War at the time that I was working on songs for the album, I thought it was a great title and just wrote a lot of words about Newport and Nazis.
"Frankie Lodge (mentioned in the lyrics) was a guy with mental difficulties who once sang opera in the subway in Newport. Frankie's mural features on the back cover of the album as he's another piece of Newport history.
"Spike T Smith really stepped up and brought the magic on the drums on this track."
Dub War will play a series of in-store performances across the UK around the record's release. Head here for details.
