Graham Coxon And Rose Elinor Dougall Announce The Waeve Debut Album, Share First Single

Tuesday, 06 September 2022 Written by Laura Johnson

Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougall have announced the debut album from their new collaborative project, The Waeve.

The self-titled LP is due to arrive on February 3 via Transgressive, and will feature their new single, Can I Call You. According to the tracklist on The Waeve's website, however, their previously shared song Something Pretty will not appear on the album.

The new track is a haunting, piano-led composition with Dougall taking the vocal lead until the two-minute mark, when wailing guitars, drums and saxophone join the proceedings and the track subsequently evolves into a chaotic, driving affair with the former Pipette and the Blur lead guitarist jointly delivering spoken word vocals with conviction. Head below for the David J East-directed video.
