Ezra Collective have announced the UK and European Where I'm Meant To Be Tour for early 2023.
The new wave jazz ensemble will make stops in Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester and London, where they'll take over the O2 Academy Brixton on February 24.
Ahead of the UK dates, they'll embark on a run of shows across the continent. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on September 30.
The trek shares its name with their recently announced second album, which will arrive via Partisan Records on November 4. The follow-up to 2019's debut 'You Can't Steal My Joy' boasts collaborations with Kojey Radical, Emeli Sandé, Nao, and Sampa the Great, who collaborates with the group on the lead single Life Goes On.
They've also shared the new track, Ego Killah, which is carried by a simple skanking drum groove under a meandering saxophone. Bandleader Femi Koleoso said:
"At the very heart of Ezra Collective is the influence of reggae, dub and sound system culture. Sound systems such as Channel One, Aba Shanti-I and Jah Shaka.
"This title, Ego Killah is one we can all relate to. It's the point in a journey where you become your own worst enemy. Where progression has to happen on the inside before you can see the fruit on the outside. The ability to kill your ego will serve you on your journey going forward. Sometimes where you’re meant to be, hasn’t happened yet, because of your own ego – that’s when you need the Ego Killah."
