Frank Turner's touring band The Sleeping Souls have shared their debut single.
Liar Lover arrives via Xtra Mile Recordings and marks the first material from the group, who have been busy writing and recording their own music while on the road with the folk-punk artist.
With Turner's guitar tech Cahir O'Doherty handling vocal duties, the slow-burning heartfelt acoustic rock song explores feelings of acceptance in a relationship gone wrong. The band commented:
"We lie to ourselves and each other as easy as drawing breath. Every lover lies. Liar Lover is about that moment in the breakdown of a relationship when you accept that there’s no repair: only ownership of your own part in its failure."
The track comes as the band wrap up their autumn tour with Turner tonight (October 14) at Southampton's O2 Guildhall. They've recorded six studio albums with him so far, including 2022's 'FTHC'. Their own debut album is expected to arrive in 2023, though further details are still to be revealed.
Frank Turner recently extended his Never Ending Tour Of Everywhere with new dates scheduled for early 2023.
