Biig Piig has announced her debut mixtape with a new song.
Following September single Kerosene, the down-tempo This Is What They Meant unfurls over electronic effects and lush synths, guided by soft vocals. It premiered as BBC Radio 1's Hottest Record and serves as the second preview of 'Bubblegum', which is scheduled for release on January 20 via RCA.
The project will follow the Irish rapper, singer and producer's 2021 EP 'The Sky Is Bleeding', and is, in Biig Piig's own words, about "experiencing the city through someone else’s eyes, and wanting to stay in that moment regardless of the consequences."
Biig Piig, whose real name is Jessica Smyth, has two intimate shows in both London and Ireland in the diary for November.
