Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has shared another track from his debut solo album.
Following the previously released singles London Bridge and Devil's Island, HK serves as the third preview of 'Radio Songs', due out on January 20 via Cooking Vinyl.
Set against rising and falling strings, piano and light percussion, the song was penned while Rowntree was on the road with Blur in Hong Kong. He commented:
"HK was written on tour with Blur in Hong Kong. I fell in love with the city before the plane had even landed - a new record for me. The track was inspired by Hong Kong's beauty, claustrophobia, and sense of dark foreboding, set against the backdrop of a chaotic Chinese radio station."
Rowntree will play his first solo headline shows in Milton Keynes, Southampton and London between October 31 and November 2. Tickets are on sale now.
Dave Rowntree Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows
Mon October 31 2022 - MILTON KEYNES Craufurd Arms
Tue November 01 2022 - SOUTHAMPTON Joiners
Wed November 02 2022 - LONDON Omeara
