Pharrell Williams and Travis Scott have shared a new collaborative song, Down In Atlanta.
Anchored by a heavy bass groove, the track marks the third team up between the two hip hop giants, with Pharrell previously co-producing Scott’s 2015 'Rodeo' cut Flying High featuring Toro y Moi. They also connected on Skeletons with Tame Impala and The Weeknd for 2018's 'Astroworld'.
Performed entirely by Scott, with Pharrell handling production, it's unclear if Down In Atlanta is a standalone single or part of the N.E.R.D. star's forthcoming third solo album, 'Phriends', which is yet to receive a release date. Back in June, he dropped the 21 Savage and Tyler, The Creator-assisted Cash In Cash Out, which reportedly serves as the record's lead single.
Pharrell's last solo album was 2014's 'Girl'. Scott, meanwhile, has been teasing 'Utopia', the follow-up to 'Astroworld', since early 2021. He released the track Escape Plan and Mafia last November.
In related news, Williams' Something In The Water Festival has announced it will return to the producer's hometown of Virginia Beach, Virginia in 2023.
