Reverend And The Makers Announce Seventh Album 'Heatwave In The Cold North', Share New Track High

Friday, 09 December 2022 Written by Jon Stickler

Reverend And The Makers have shared a new song.

High serves as the second preview of their forthcoming LP, 'Heatwave In The Cold North', following the previously unveiled title track, released back in September.

Channeling Isaac Hayes and Curtis Mayfield, the soulful, psych-tinged earworm continues in the northern soul direction of the previous single. Press play below.

Led by vocalist Jon 'Rev' McClure, the band will embark on their first tour of the UK in four years in February. Stops include Brighton, Northampton, Cardiff, Norwich, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, London, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester, along with two concluding homecoming gigs in Sheffield. Support will come from Supergrass' Danny Goffey, and The Ramona Flowers. Tickets are on sale.

The follow-up to 2017's 'The Death Of A King' is scheduled to arrive on April 28.
