Sleaford Mods have announced a new album.
'UK GRIM' is scheduled to arrive through Rough Trade on March 10, following up 2021's 'Spare Ribs'. It'll feature collaborations with Dry Cleaning's Florence Shaw and Jane's Addiction's Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro. Commenting on the record, Jason Williamson said:
"Maybe we are proud of the country. Maybe we are proud to be English. Maybe I’m proud of the horrible grey streets and the shit weather and the stupid fashions I find myself investing in. It’s just that the English we’re proud of being is absolutely nothing like the English the authorities want to try and promote."
As a preview, the outspoken duo have dropped the record's first single, and title track, a biting dance-punk offering that offers a no holds barred assault on the state of the nation. Head below to view its scathing video by artist and satirist Cold War Steve.
The pair will play intimate shows in Nottingham and London following the LP's release. They're also set to appear at Coachella in California in April.
