Worriers Introduce Fourth Album 'Warm Blanket' With New Song Pollen In The Air

Wednesday, 18 January 2023 Written by Laura Johnson

Worriers have announced a new album.

The follow-up to 2020's 'You Or Someone You Know' is called 'Warm Blanket' and will arrive on April 7 through Ernest Jenning Record Co. It features Atom Willard, of Against Me! and Social Distortion, on drums, which he recorded remotely.

The writing of the record led vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Lauren Denitzio to realise that the music they were trying to make work as a band was a better fit as a solo project, so that's how Worriers will be progressing.

As a preview of the album, Denitzio has shared the cut Pollen In The Air, a lo-fi electronic-led track that places the focus on the vocals, and is far removed from their previous punk-leaning material.

Head below to check out the song's lyric video, featuring Denitzio's illustrations, alongside the album's artwork and tracklist.

'Warm Blanket' tracklist:

  1. Doom Scrolling
  2. Prepared To Forget
  3. Warm Blanket
  4. Power Pop Mixtape
  5. Creep
  6. Pollen In The Air
  7. Murder Ballad
  8. Never Quite Kicks In
  9. Provisional Hope
  10. You Don’t Need Me
