The Who Announce Summer Show At Royal Sandringham Estate With Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra

The Who have confirmed a very special summer show.
Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey and band will perform with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra at the Royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk on August 28. They'll be joined by special guests Richard Ashcroft, and The Lightning Seeds.
Tickets go on general sale at 9am on March 10. A portion of the legendary band's fee will be donated to the charity Nordoff Robbins, as the band were unable to play their Christmas charity show due to a scheduling conflict.
The concert will act as a finale for their Hits Back! Tour, on which they'll also be accompanied by an orchestra, throughout July. However, the Norfolk date will be the only UK show on which they're joined by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. Townshend said:
“Very pleased and excited for The Who to be one of the first artists to perform at the Country Home of the British Royal family on The Sandringham Estate.
"Opening up the Estate to large scale concerts is a fantastic way of keeping us uplifted and enjoying congregation at what I’m sure will be a fabulous summer celebration. We can’t wait!”
Giles Cooper of Heritage Live, who are presenting the show, added:
“It’s been an ambition of us all at Heritage Live to stage a concert for the legend that is THE WHO. It doesn’t get any bigger and to have this iconic band accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic, in such a magnificent setting, will be the most amazing and magical experience. It will undoubtedly be a day and evening etched into the memories of all those who attend for the rest of our lives!”
The Who released ’WHO’, their first studio album in 13 years, back in 2019. They're also set to release ’The Who With Orchestra Live At Wembley’ on March 31, a live LP recorded during their 2019 show at the iconic stadium.
