Jake Shears has dropped a new track, Devil Came Down The Dance Floor.
Following February's disco-inspired single Too Much Music, the dancey collaboration with Amber Martin offers an unrestrained twist on the soulful, hedonistic house music of Todd Terje or Sylvester. It serves as the second preview of the Scissor Sisters lead vocalist's new album, 'Last Man Dancing', due out on June 2.
"Devil…was a joy to create and I’m so excited to share it,” said Shears. "Amber Martin is one of my best friends and favourite singers and it’s an honour to have her absolutely killing it on this song."
In addition to Martin, the record also boasts contributions from Kylie Minogue, Big Freedia, Jane Fonda, Iggy Pop, and more.
Having already been announced for this year's Mighty Hoopla, Shears will celebrate the record with three intimate UK shows, including a date at London's Village Underground on release day. He'll also support Duran Duran at their arena shows this April.
Jake Shears Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows
Tue May 30 2023 - GLASGOW SWG3 Warehouse
Thu June 01 2023 - BRIGHTON Concorde 2
Fri June 02 2023 - LONDON Village Underground
