Damian Lewis has announced his debut album.
The Homeland star's first solo full-length release, 'Mission Creep', will arrive on June 16 through Decca Records.
Its origins go back to when the 52-year-old British actor left school and took to busking with his guitar through continental Europe. Reflecting on the record, which emerged after he rediscovered his love of the guitar during the COVID-19 lockdown, he explained: "I suddenly had a lot to say. People will judge if it’s any good or not, but for me, it felt entirely natural."
As a preview, he's released the rootsy, soulful track Down On The Bowery. "I wanted the album to give a sense of a journey to this point, from busking ‘til now," Lewis added. Press play below, alongside the LP's cover art.
He'll appear play at Cheltenham Jazz Festival in May and Black Deer Festival in June, before his biggest headline performance yet at London's Union Chapel on July 11. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on April 21.
