The former Beautiful South vocalist will perform at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on July 1 before a set at Mouth of The Tyne Festival in Tynemouth on July 8.
Lightning Seeds will support at the Scarborough date, while special guests for the Tynemouth show will be announced soon. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on April 28.
The concerts, along with all of this summer's festival dates, will feature special guest singers after it was revealed that Jacqui Abbott is still unable to perform following further medical advice. A statement from management reads:
"Following further medical advice it is with sadness that we must inform you that Jacqui will not be able to appear with Paul and the band at their headline shows and festival appearances this summer. We hope you’ll join us in wishing Jacqui a continued and speedy recovery.
"We are however pleased to confirm that the shows will still take place and Paul will be joined by special guest vocalists (to be announced) at all the summer dates as well as two brand new headline shows at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Saturday 1st July and Mouth of the Tyne Festival in Tynemouth on Saturday 8th July."
The shows will see Heaton performing songs from throughout his career, including tracks from The Beautiful South and The Housemartins.
