Bush have shared a new version of their song 1000 Years.
The duet with Evanescence's Amy Lee stays pretty faithful to the original track, with Lee's vocals adding an atmospheric edge. It'll appear on the deluxe edition of Bush's ninth studio album, 'The Art Of Survival', which is out this Friday (June 9).
Bush singer Gavin Rossdale explained to Consequence that the collaboration came together after he asked Lee about teaming up on the song during the band's show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium in February. He told them:
"I've always wanted to do a duet — not a song featuring someone but a song like Bob Dylan and Emmy Lou Harris. I approached Amy Lee from Evanescence to sing 1000 Years with me at the Ryman Auditorium — she replied to the song I sent by singing it with me. She has one my favourite voices ever and so to have her on this track is a mind blower. She is pure class."
Bush will play various US festivals and headline shows this summer.
