Little Simz Continues To Tease Sixth Album 'Lotus' With New Single Free

Little Simz has released a new single from her upcoming album.
Free is the second preview of 'Lotus', which is due out on May 9. Though musically a stark contrast to its intense, percussion-led first single Flood, the new song is still driven by Simz's laid back, self-assured flow, which on this occasion began as a poem, but deals in relaxed vibes courtesy of finger-picked guitar, varied percussion and strings.
The follow-up to 2022's 'No Thank You' will be released on May 9. Following that, the Mercury Prize, BRIT and MOBO Award-winning London rapper will curate and perform at the 30th edition of Meltdown Festival in her home city. The Streets, Ghetts, Jon Batiste and Lola Young were recently confirmed as part of the first wave of acts for the line-up. Tickets are on sale now.
