ĠENN have announced their debut album.

The Brighton-based four-piece from Malta will release 'unum' on October 6 via Liminal Collective. Co-produced by ĠENN, Gilla Band's Dan Fox and Tom Hill, with the latter also taking on mixing duties at The Bookhouse in South East London. Katie Tavini then handled mastering at Weird Jungle in Brighton.

Alongside the news, the group have shared cut Days And Nights, which fuses '70s psychedelia with 90s alt-rock fuzzy guitars over thundering distorted bass and drums. It follows April single A Reprise (That Girl) and 2022's track Rohmeresse. Vocalist Leona Farrugia said:

"This rumination is close to heart, almost comic at times. The parachute of experiences can leave you numb and unsettled, I often feel that one can never be fully equipped to what life has in store."

Alongside the news, they've unveiled an interactive online visual space called unum 3D, which the band describe as, "a spatial concept designed to present some of the facets of the mundane. This representation on a computer screen slowly presents us with unexpected turns and surprising tricks that makes some of it not so mundane. As a companion to the album, the house exists to engage with the lyrical themes in a dimension outside of, but in tandem to, what the music offers."

ĠENN will play shows in Huddersfield, Glasgow, Newcastle and Milton Keynes this week. They also have a run of in-store dates lined up for the autumn, ahead of a hometown album launch gig at Komedia on October 13. Head here for details.
