Attention begins with raspy, ethereal vocals that return for the chorus, but the verses feature more pared-back beats and production as the Los Angeles rapper drops bars that address her critics and her success.
The song marks Doja’s first solo offering since Vegas, a track she recorded for the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic in 2022.
Her most recent album, ’Planet Her’, came out in 2021, but despite the new material there’s currently still no word on a follow-up.
Head below to watch the video for Attention, which was directed by Tanu Muino, and in between scenes features a couple of blink-and you’ll-miss-it flashes of Doja Cat naked and covered in blood, which a press release reveals is her new alter-ego Scarlet.
