Produced by Santan and featuring the vocal talents of fellow British rapper Fredo, the track is driven by an infectious drill beat and powerful lyrics that see the pair expressing their own toxic traits.
It comes with a video directed by Femi Ladi, which includes cameos from Alison Hammond, Ivorian Doll, Wretch 32 and Specs Gonzalez. Ladi said of the clip:
"After listening to the lyrics, I wanted to have fun with this video. I liked the idea of bringing a renaissance-style painting to life, whilst still feeling grounded in the world of Stormzy. We collaborated on all the scenarios together which was great – as well as being able to bring in the likes of Fredo and Alison Hammond for their own toxic therapy sessions!!"
Stormzy's most recent album was 2022's 'This Is What We Mean'. He'll headline and curate his own All Points East show on August 18 at London's Victoria Park. Billed as This Is What We Mean Day, it'll also feature performances from Kehlani, Sampha, Knucks, Lucky Daye, WSTRN, Ms Banks and The No Signal Stage. He'll also play the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam on July 7.
