Jon Batiste has announced a new album.
The follow-up to 2021's Grammy Award-winning 'We Are' is called 'World Music Radio' and will arrive on August 18 via Verve/Interscope.
As a preview, head below to hear Calling Your Name, an intricately composed, breezy pop track that feels somehow familiar but also fresh. It's one of 21 songs featured on the record, which includes collaborations with producer Jon Bellion, Lil Wayne, Kenny G, Fireboy DML, J.I.D, Camilo, NewJeans and Lana Del Rey, who appears on a bonus track called Life Lesson.
Del Rey previously worked with Batiste on two songs for her latest LP, 'Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd', which came out in March.
Introducing the project, Batiste wrote in a statement: "I created this album with a feeling of liberation in my life and a renewed sense of exploration of my personhood, my craft and of the world around me unlike anything I had ever felt before."
