Empire State Bastard have dropped another track from their debut album.
The Looming is the epic closing number from 'Rivers Of Heresy', which is due out on September 1 through Roadrunner Records. It follows the previously shared cuts Harvest and Stutter
Clocking in at over six minutes, the crushing, doomy track brings together hulking stoner rock riffs and hypnotic vocals that shift from an atmospheric intro to a throat-shredding climax.
Introducing the song, the band's founding duo — Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil and Oceansize's Mike Vennart — commented: "The end is nigh! The end is looming! Fuck what they told ya!"
Empire State Bastard will play Germany's Wacken Open Air festival and the UK's ArcTanGent festival on August 17.
