Mitski Details New LP 'The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We', Shares Lead Single Bug Like An Angel

Mitski has announced her seventh studio album.
The follow-up to 2022's 'Laurel Hell' is called 'The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We' and will arrive on September 15 via Dead Oceans. It was produced by Mitski's longtime collaborator Patrick Hyland, and recorded at both Bombshelter Studios in Nashville and Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles.
As a preview, she's shared the record's first single, Bug Like An Angel, which is also its opening track. The atmospheric, stripped back acoustic ballad arrives with a video directed by Noel Paul.
The Brooklyn artist revealed the news via a voice memo that was sent out through her newsletter last Sunday (July 23). Check out the message below alongside the new song's video.
