Neck Deep have shared a new song, Take Me With You.
It arrives ahead of the band's summer UK gigs, and retains the familiar upbeat pop-punk sound heard on their previous singles Heartbreak Of The Century and STFU. Head below to view the track's accompanying video, which shows vocalist Ben Barlow being abducted by aliens. He said:
"Take Me With You is one of those songs where I had the title first. Literally, as simple as "we should write a song about aliens called Take Me With You. So conceptually and lyrically, it was pretty straightforward.
"A few of us in the band are big UFO heads, particularly Seb [Barlow, bass], so we had a lot of fun writing this one.
"I'd be lying if I said it wasn’t a slight nod to Blink-182’s Aliens Exist, but you can blame Tom [DeLonge] for infecting my fragile mind at a young age and then going and busting the UFO world wide open. It’s ultimately a little bit of fun before we come at people with the more meaningful stuff a little later down the line."
Neck Deep will take their Rain In July 10 Year Anniversary Tour to select UK cities next week, playing their 'Rain In July' and 'A History Of Bad Decisions' LPs in full. In the autumn, they've got shows lined up in Leeds, Glasgow And Cardiff, along with European and Australian gigs.
They have also just announced a huge London show for spring 2024, when they'll headline Alexandra Palace on March 28. It will be their biggest headline UK gig to date. Tickets go on general sale at 10am this Friday (August 11).
Their most recent album came in the form of 2020's 'All Distortions Are Intentional'.
