Mitski has shared two new songs, Star and Heaven.
Both are lifted from her new album, 'The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We', which is due for release on September 15 through Dead Oceans.
Star is an atmospheric number led by ethereal melodies that builds to a climactic end, while Heaven is a much more grounded, folk-leaning offering that closes with a classical flourish. They follow the previously shared opening track, Bug Like An Angel.
Alongside the new songs, the Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter has announced shows in Edinburgh, Manchester, London, Berlin, Utrecht and Paris between October 9 and 20. The gigs are billed as Amateur Mistake: A Night Of Intimate, Acoustic Performance From Mitski Previewing Her New Album, and support will come from Trust Fund. Tickets go on general sale at 12pm (midday) on September 8.
