The Rolling Stones have officially announced their 24th studio album.

The British rock legends will release 'Hackney Diamonds', their first LP of original songs in 18 years, on October 20 via Universal.

Helmed by producer Andrew Watt and comprising 12 songs, it'll include collaborations with the two surviving members of The Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, alongside guest appearances by Lady Gaga on Sweet Sounds Of Heaven, and former Stones bassist Bill Wyman. Late drummer Charlie Watts, who passed away in 2021, also features on two tracks recorded in 2019, Live By The Sword and Mess It Up.

Core members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ron Wood revealed the details during a star-studded press event held this afternoon (September 6) in Hackney, London, where they were interviewed by Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon.

As a preview, check out the record's first single, Angry, a lively rocker that's driven by a Start Me Up-esque guitar riff. Head below to view the accompanying video starring American actress Sydney Sweeney, well known for her roles in Euphoria and The White Lotus. The song was previously teased via the website dontgetangrywithme.com, which also featured details of today's event.

The announcement comes after the band's teaser campaign, which saw their iconic tongue and lips logo projected onto landmarks in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and other major cities around the world.

The band's most recent album of original material came in the form of 2005's 'A Bigger Bang', though they continued to record one-off tracks for their 2012 live compilation 'GRRR!' and the 2016 blues cover album 'Blue & Lonesome'.
