Deap Vally To Split Following Final Album 'Sistrionix 2.0' And Farewell Tour Dates

Deap Vally have shared details of a final record and tour.
The Los Angeles rock duo have announced their split alongside news of a re-recorded version of their 2013 debut album 'Sistrionix', which they've called 'Sistrionix 2.0' and is due out in the spring on their own Deap Vally Records, though an exact release date has not been confirmed.
As a preview, head below to stream Baby I Call Hell (Deap Vally's Version). One half of the duo, Lindsey Troy said: "Baby I Call Hell is quintessential Deap Vally. It was the first song we ever wrote as a band, so it’s very meaningful to our story. Re-recording that song was a lot of fun, but also a lot of pressure because we wanted to make sure the recording captured the magic of the song again."
Troy and Julie Edwards will embark on a final run of North American shows in February and March. Prior to that, they'll celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut LP with a series of West Coast dates this fall. Tickets for their headline gigs go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (September 22). Edwards commented:
"We found we just can’t function as a traditional band anymore. It’s time for both of us to explore motherhood and other avenues of our lives properly, rather than squeezing them into our artist’s hustle. Though the band is playing live for the last time, the door is open to us to collaborate. Now we’re all about re-establishing a workflow and connection around our friendship, after all we’ve shared together along the way."
