Sufjan Stevens has released another early single from his upcoming album.
A Running Start marks the third and final preview of 'Javelin', due out this Friday (October 6), following the previously shared tracks Will Anybody Ever Love Me? and So You Are Tired.
Offering soft, swirling finger-picked acoustic guitar and hushed, near-whispered emotive vocals, it arrives after the singer-songwriter went public two weeks ago with news that he has been diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). Posting to Instagram, he gave followers an update on his health after he lost feeling in his limbs.
Ahead of the record's release, the second lot of two previously announced rounds of listening parties will be held in various cities across North America today (October 3). Head to Stevens' official website for further details and locations.
