Sum 41 Share Details Of Final Double Album 'Heaven :x: Hell', Post New Single Rise Up

Sum 41 have shared details of their final full-length release as a band.
'Heaven :x: Hell' will arrive through Rise Records on March 29 as a double album. The 'Heaven' side will feature 10 tracks influenced by pop-punk-inspired music, while the 'Hell' side will have another 10 songs that are heavier and more metal inspired. Vocalist Deryck Whibley said:
"Once I heard the music, I was confident enough to say, 'This is the record I’d like to go out on.' We’ve made a double album of pop punk and metal, and it makes sense. It took a long time for us to pave this lane for ourselves, but we did, and it’s unique to us."
Following Landmines, which appears on the record's 'Heaven' side, the Canadian band have dropped a new single called Rise Up, taken from the opposing side. Commenting on the new track, which is rife with thrashy guitars, Whibley added: "Writing Rise Up, I felt the way I did when I first got signed. I felt the pressure and the need to create something great, but I felt so excited at the same time."
Sum 41 will appear at numerous US and European festivals next year, including Welcome To Rockville in Daytona, Florida and Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio in May, the UK's Download festival in June and Madrid's Mad Cool Festival in July. They also have a number of European and Canadian headline shows scheduled around their festival slots. Tickets are on sale.
