Richard Thompson Plots Ship To Shore UK Tour For May And June

Richard Thompson has announced a UK tour for May and June.
The Grammy nominated and Ivor Novello Award-winning folk guitarist and songwriter will be joined by his backing band for the trek, which is billed as the Ship To Shore Tour.
Stops include Cambridge, Bristol, York, Glasgow, Gateshead, Manchester, Stoke, Birmingham, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Brighton and London, where he'll play the Royal Albert Hall. Tickets for all dates go on general sale at 10am on Friday (January 26).
The tour shares its name with Thompson's new album, which is expected in May. It will head to the US earlier in the spring, but will see him perform solo, not with a band.
His most recent studio full-length release, '13 Rivers', arrived in 2018, though since then he's put out a number of live records and soundtrack albums.
