Liam Gallagher and John Squire Announce Spring UK & European Tour, Confirm Album Details

Liam Gallagher and John Squire will hit the road together this spring.
The former Oasis vocalist and former Stone Roses guitarist have lined up shows in Glasgow, Wolverhampton, Dublin, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, where they'll play two nights at the O2 Apollo, and London, where they'll perform at both the O2 Forum Kentish Town and Troxy to close out the UK run on March 25 and 26, respectively.
In April, they've confirmed European gigs in Paris, Milan and Berlin, and a one-off US show at Brooklyn's Paramount Theatre on April 11.
Support on all dates, except Brooklyn, comes from Jake Bugg. Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am GMT next Friday (February 2).
Alongside news of the tour, the pair have shared details of their collaborative self-titled album, which is due out on March 1. We've already heard the first single, Just Another Rainbow, and now they've shared the second, Mars To Liverpool, a '60s psych-rock-tinged track that allows Squire's guitar work to take centre stage alongside Gallagher's uplifting vocals.
Discussing the record, Gallagher said: “I can't wait for people to hear the album. I think the people that are into the Stone Roses and Oasis and that kinda thing, I think they'll fucking love it. It's spiritual, it's crucial. LG x"
“It was really inspiring to have those Knebworth gigs fresh in my mind as I started writing," Squire added. Then it was a case of trying to steer it away from all being too rocky, and trying to mix up the sentiments as well.
"I like the way that in some parts, it's quite melancholic and it can make you well up, but there are other parts that are kind of irreverent, rude or crude. There's a little bit of everything in there, I think it's a really good mix. I had a hunch that we’d sound good together, but I wasn’t prepared for it to be such a good fit.”
