Paramore have dropped a cover of Talking Heads' Burning Down The House.
The new rendition stays faithful to the iconic single, though sounds distinctly like the pop-punk trio. Staying as captivating as the original, it finds the band on lively form and was recorded for a forthcoming tribute album from a24 celebrating the recent 40th anniversary re-release of the Talking Heads concert film, Stop Making Sense.
The project is set to feature 16 different artists covering one of the 16 songs on the live record. The other artists contributing are Miley Cyrus, Lorde, girl in red, The National, Teezo Touchdown, Kevin Abstract, BADBADNOTGOOD, Toro y Moi, Blondshell, DJ Tunez, Jean Dawson, Chicano Batman, The Linda Lindas, The Cavemen and El Mató.
The new single follows recent rumours that Paramore were to break up, after the band wiped their social media pages, and pulled out of a couple of US and Latin America festival appearances.
The group released their latest album, 'This Is Why', in February 2023, which was followed by an alternate, remixed version of the record in October.
They're set to support Taylor Swift as special guests on the UK and European leg of The Eras Tour this spring and summer.
