Blue Öyster Cult Announce New Studio Album 'Ghost Stories'

Blue Öyster Cult have announced their 15th studio album.
The follow-up to 2020's 'The Symbol Remains' is titled 'Ghost Stories' and will arrive through Frontiers Music on April 15.
Announced as "a fitting finale to the recording legacy" of the legendary rock band, the project will mostly comprise archival songs recorded between 1978 and 2016, remixed using artificial intelligence. It'll also include a number of originals, and covers of tunes by The MC5, The Doors, and The Animals.
Long-time band engineer George Geranios sent the archived material, which was recorded on reel-to-reel analog tape, to Blue Öyster Cult's Richie Castellano and producer Steve Schenck, who transferred the music to digital audio, before demixing and remixing.
The record was then put together in the studio by Castellano and remaining original members Eric Bloom and Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser, with both Albert Bouchard and Rick Downey on drums, and additional overdubs from Joe Bouchard.
To celebrate the news, the band have shared the first single from the record, So Supernatural, a melodic, mid-tempo rocker that comes with a video below.
