The dark, piano-led track marks the Florida artist's first release since her 2022 debut album, 'Preacher's Daughter', and serves as the first glimpse of her next project, 'Perverts', due out on January 8.
It finds the singer-songwriter, real name Hayden Silas Anhedönia, leaning into a shadowy, experimental production style. She said:
"I wonder how deep shame can run, and how unforgivable an act could be that I may still justify it in some bent way to make carrying it more bearable. Would I tell myself it’s not my fault and I couldn’t help myself? Would anyone truly believe that? Would I?"
