Paramore Announced As Global Ambassadors For Record Store Day 2024

Paramore are the official ambassadors for this year's Record Store Day.
The pop-punk trio — Hayley Williams, Taylor York and Zac Farro — took to Instagram on Saturday (February 10) to confirm the news.
They also revealed the group is now "freshly independent" having dropped 'This Is Why', the final LP on their previous label Atlantic Records, in 2023. Ending speculation that their future may be in doubt, the band added that they are ready to, "continue to have a long career in the music industry." They wrote:
"After a long career in the music industry we have decided to announce that… we are going to continue to have a long career in the music industry (sorry for any inconvenience).
"Our first order of business as a freshly independent Paramore is to shine a light on independent record stores — a vital part of our journey from music obsessed school friends to professional music makers.
"With that being said, we are humbled to be your Ambassadors for Record Store Day 2024. The timing feels kismet."
Record Store Day 2024 will take place on April 20, marking its 17th annual celebration. Past ambassadors have included Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires, Taylor Swift, St. Vincent, Metallica, Pearl Jam and Jack White.
Paramore recently dropped a cover of Talking Heads' Burning Down The House for a forthcoming tribute album from A24 celebrating the 40th anniversary re-release of the Talking Heads concert film, Stop Making Sense.
They're set to join Taylor Swift as special guests on the UK and European leg of The Eras Tour this spring and summer.
