Maxïmo Park Return With New Single Favourite Songs, Announce Autumn UK And European Tour

Maxïmo Park are back with a new track, Favourite Songs.
The punchy power-pop offering serves as the band's first new music since the 2022 singles European Son and their Merging Into You collaboration with Du Blonde. Discussing the inspiration behind the new song, singer Paul Smith said:
"Our aim was to create a peppy yet powerful ode to the consolation of music and companionship in the face of other people's preconceptions."
Alongside the new track, Maxïmo Park have confirmed a European tour for the autumn, which includes stops in Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Norwich, London, Brighton, Bristol, Birmingham, Sheffield and Newcastle during October. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Thursday (March 28).
Ahead of the trek, they'll join Sea Girls, Kate Nash, Nieve Ella, Brooke Coombe and Fred Roberts as support for The Kooks' huge show on Brighton Beach on July 21. They'll also appear at Tramlines festival and Victorious Festival this summer.
Maxïmo Park's last studio album was 2021's 'Nature Always Wins'.
