Eels have dropped a second single from their upcoming album.
Anchored by a deep bass riff and steady drum beat, Goldy will appear alongside the previously unveiled Time on 'Eels Time!', which is due out on June 7.
It's one of six tracks on the record penned with All-American Rejects guitarist-vocalist Tyson Ritter, after Eels frontman Mark Oliver Everett was invited to work with him on a song that featured in the 2022 film Prisoner's Daughter, in which they both appeared.
Ritter and Everett were previously labelmates at DreamWorks, but hadn't yet met. Commenting on the team-up, Everett said:
"He’s turned out to be one of my favourite, weird, eccentric and imaginative collaborators. And he was right there down the hall from me at the DreamWorks Records office all those years ago. Who knew?"
