Nathaniel Rateliff And The Night Sweats Release New Single David And Goliath

Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats have shared a new single, David and Goliath.
Bringing together stabbing piano chords, electric guitar and organ to create an almost Beatles-esque sound, it serves as the second preview and opening track of the group's new album, 'South Of Here', due out through Stax Records on June 28. Rateliff said:
"Anxiety … the Intense, excessive, and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations. Feels to the person experiencing it as impossible of a battle as David slaying a giant. This is the first track of our new record and deals directly with the battle with oneself."
It follows on from the previously shared lead single Heartless in previewing the Brad Cook-produced LP.
Rateliff and band will support the record's release with the UK and European leg of the South Of Here Tour this summer. In September, they'll link up with My Morning Jacket for the co-headline Eye To Eye Tour in North America. Tickets are on sale now.
